SEAFORTHS Travel is to charge business clients £20 per head to book them seats on budget airlines.
The business travel agency claims customers want to take advantage of cheap fares offered by the low-cost carriers, but do not have time to search for a good deal or wait to speak to a sales agent.
Seaforths managing director Jenny Mills said many clients are willing to pay for the travel agent to do the searching for them.
She said:”You have to accept that, on many routes, low-cost carriers such as EasyJet, Go and now Buzz offer an extremely attractive option to the business traveller.
“We would be failing in our duty if we could not recommend the no-frills airlines as a viable alternative to the traditional carriers. But clients recognise that, if we do the work, we have to receive some sort of remuneration, and we believe our formula will be welcomed by all three parties involved.”
