LTB appoints IT specialists to boost web presence

THE LONDON
Tourist Board and Convention Bureau has appointed a head of IT operations and
head of Internet marketing to boost its on-line presence.
Former Internet Telecom country manager Garry Durston takes on the Internet marketing
role and will be responsible for developing the organisation’s
website as a source of information.
Head of IT operations Stephen Faloon moves to the LTB from marketing agency Catalina,
where he was e-commerce technical manager. Faloon will manage
LTB’s web designers and be responsible for re-engineering the organisation’s technical
infrastructure and improving communication between its stakeholders
and partner organisations.
A spokesman for the LTB said both these roles had previously been done by outside
agencies but the decision has been taken to bring them in-house.
