LONG-haul specialist Bales Worldwide has become the first UK tour operator to sign a partnership deal with new on-line travel company eDreams.
The agreement means that Bales product will be distributed on eDreams forthcoming Web site, which will be aimed at selling aspirational or dream holidays to a cash-rich, time-poor market of Internet users.
Bales deputy managing director Mandy Nickerson said: “EDreams is not about finding last-minute deals but about tailoring high-quality, unusual and imaginative holidays – a perfect match for Bales – and it complements our more traditional sales channels.”
EDreams’ goal is to sign up 100 operators (Travel Weekly December 13). It is also seeking one travel agent partner to deal with customer enquiries and ticketing when the venture goes live this spring.
