Fear about unrest in Israel and the Middle East – compounded by the build up of military forced in the region – has put people off travelling to Dubai, Jordan and Eilat, Israel.
Peltours, which specialises in Egypt and Eilat, has seen sales hit badly by events and it is not selling well in the short or medium term.
BA Holidays’ and Thomas Cook Holidays’ customers have cancelled trips to Dubai for 2001 but the fact some are rebooking for winter and summer 2002 suggests some confidence.
