Christmas market coach trip sales up 50%
SALES for Cosmos Tourama’s Christmas market coach tours to the Rhineland in Germany during November and December are up 50% on the same time last year.
Product director Peter Traynor said it was possible customers were taking shorter breaks nearer home, rather than their normal winter-sun breaks in light of the US situation.
He added it could help to compensate for lost sales on US coach tours.
Three tours are already sold out with a further three sea/coach trips of four and five days still to fill. Prices lead in at £189 for a four-day trip, including a stopover at Brussels, two nights at the four-star Cologne Queens Hotel and Christmas market visits and sightseeing.
On the back of the increase in sales Cosmos is expanding its Christmas market offering for 2002 to include Bavaria and air/coach trips.
