Comfort Inn opens its first property in Dublin this month. The 48-bedroom hotel, located on Talbot Street, reopens after a £80,000 renovation and refurbishment programme. This is the fourth Dublin property for Choice Hotels Europe, parent group of Comfort Inn.
n crowne plaza to revamp st george’s
Crowne Plaza has closed Liverpool’s St George’s Hotel for a £6m reconstruction and refurbishment programme. It is due to open in autumn as the Holiday Inn, Liverpool City Centre. All 40 staff are being kept on and will work at other properties during the renovation programme.
n accor develops range in asia pacific
Accor is expanding in the Asia Pacific region with the introduction of the new Sofitel Royal Angkor. The 175-room hotel, located near the Angkor Wat complex in the Cambodian capital, is scheduled to open in the last quarter of this year.
n sterling hotels flags latest brochure
Sterling Hotels and Resorts launched its 2000 directory featuring its new silver and navy corporate identity. Each of Sterling’s 141 hotels is featured by region in the directory, which also includes photographs and detailed descriptions. The group added 28 hotels in the UK and Europe last year and one is due to open shortly in Morocco.
