travelocity results show rise in bookings

ON-LINE agency Travelocity has seen its gross bookings
increase to £2.1 billion, up from £1.7 billion, a rise of 27%.

The company’s annual results, for the year ending December
31, show total revenues were £209.99 million, exceeding 2000’s figures by 50%

However, results for the final quarter reflected the downturn
in travel since the September 11 terrorist attacks in the US. Gross bookings were
£438.5 million compared to £484.6 million in 2000.
