lufthansa reveals £425 million loss

Put this on-line but thought it would do for paper as well……

PROVISIONAL figures released by German flag carrier
Lufthansa have revealed a total loss of £425 million for the 2001 business
year.

This compares to a profit of £365 million for the year 2000.

Following restructuring of various companies owned by
Lufthansa, revenues increased by 10% to £10 billion.

The airline blamed the weakening global economy and the
September 11 terrorist attacks for the losses.

A complete set of figures will be released on April 25.
