THE Manchester Airport Group has announced the appointment of
six new non-executive directors as part of an ongoing restructure of the
company.
The new directors will work both in the group itself and in
several of its subsidiaries. Joining the group board are MFI Furniture Group chief
executive officer John Hancock and Sector Skills Development Agency chair
Margaret Salmon. Gordon Brothers
managing director Europe Andy Meehan will join the airport’s board while
Granada Television managing director Brenda Smith and Great North Eastern
Railway human resources director Mike Gooddie will join Manchester Airport Aviation
Services board. Finally, former deputy chairman of Lambert Smith Hampton Tom
Marshall joins Manchester Airport Developments’ board.
All the new non-executive directors will be responsible for
scrutinising the activities of the trading companies.
