RAIL passengers face months of disruption following the
announcement a major stretch is to shut every weekend from August until
Christmas.
According to newspaper reports more than 60,000 travellers
that use the line on Saturdays and Sundays will have to take buses between Milton
Keynes and Hemel Hempstead, adding around an hour to many journeys.
Railtrack was scheduled to have done the work overnight but goods
operators said it would have damaged their business.
