travelocity hopes to increase air fare sales

ON-LINE agency Travelocity.co.uk has added a facility to its
website that will boost sales of cheap air fares.

The Fare Watcher system lets users select where they want to
fly and how much they are prepared to pay. If prices fall to that level the user
will be sent an email offering them the ticket.

Travelocity UK managing director Jamie Cole said the new
system will help the company meet its growth plans for the future.

Travelocity has also revealed details of a major publicity
drive set to last for the next 10 weeks. The agency will advertise in the
national press on weekends and this will be backed up with radio advertisements
in the London area.

The homepage on Travelocity’s website has also been revamped
to make it easier for users to make their holiday plans. Key offers have been
given more prominence and log-in messages will be tailored for each user.
