AER LINGUS SHUTS UK MARKETING OFFICE

Aer Lingus has closed down its UK marketing operation as
it struggles to overcome serious losses.

The Irish carrier made 12 people redundant, including UK
head of marketing Robin Wilson, and relocated some staff to Dublin, where it
has centralised marketing operations.

Foot and mouth, September 11 and the strong challenge of
Ryanair have all combined to hit the Oneworld airline hard.
