DUTCH flag carrier KLM and sister low-cost operation Buzz
have announced a number of changes to their route network serving the UK.
From October 27, Buzz will take over all KLM flights between
Stansted and Amsterdam. KLM aircraft that did serve this route will be will
deployed to increase frequencies between Amsterdam and London City, Newcastle,
Manchester and double capacity from Teeside.
KLM general manager UK Tony Le Masurier said: “The network
changes are designed to ensure we play to our strengths. London Stansted is now
clearly a low-cost airline base so it makes sense for Buzz to expand its
network from there.”
