ROYAL Olympic Cruise Lines’ seven-strong UK team is set to move to Louis Cruise Lines’ London office early this year.
The decision to merge the offices follows Louis’ 70% purchase of Royal Olympic’s parent company, ROC Holdings, for $40m at the end of 1999.
Louis UK and Ireland manager Peter Adamou said: “We have got to find out where the two companies can co-operate and save money. When you have two companies in the same business, there must be quite a lot of duplication,” he said.
However, Adamou claimed it was too early to say whether there would be redundancies. Louis and Royal Olympic will continue to be marketed as separate brands, he added. The companies operate a fleet of eight ships each.
