LASTMINUTE.COM is expected to reveal a rise in sales of 135%
for the quarter ending September 30 compared to the same period last year.
In a trading statement issued by the travel and lifestyle website,
Lastminute predicts sales will hit £110 million. This compares to sales of
£46.9 for the fourth quarter of 2001.
The company has cut costs by £10 million and pledged to
slash them further. Lastminute’s preliminary results will be published on November
22.
