FIRST
Choice has officially announced the resignation of former First Choice Retail
managing director John Donnelly two months after he left the multiple.
First
Choice claimed Donnelly left the operator for personal reasons following his
sudden departure in July.
Donnelly
was instrumental in developing the Holiday Hypermarket concept in 1998 and
joined the First Choice Group in May 2000 when it was bought by the operator.
A statement from First Choice said: “He (John)
has decided to move on to pursue his career outside First Choice as he feels
his entrepreneurial skills are more suited to a leadership position within a
distinct operating unit rather than a senior divisional position within our
Group.”
