Walt Disney Attractions has created a new position of director responsible for marketing and sales across Continental Europe, the Middle East and Africa.



William Morris joins from British Airways’ subsidiary Air Liberte where he was marketing and communications director.



n industry veteran john mansfield dies



The former owner of Travelscene and Holland Travel Service, John Mansfield, has died of heart failure aged 69. The funeral will take place at Amersham Crematorium at 1.30pm on Friday.



n braathens malmo does u-turn on route



Braathens Malmo Aviation has decided to continue with its services between London City and Malmo. The airline had previously announced the route would be stopped from today but new managing director Fons Brusselmans said he wanted to continue operating flights to the Swedish city.



n cnn gets on-line with leisureplanet stake



CNNNews Group has joined the on-line travel market with the purchase of a $20m stake in Internet travel company Leisureplanet. The deal means Leisureplanet will become the main provider of travel agency services on CNN’s nine Web sites. It will offer air, car, hotel and leisure travel packages to Internet users.
