TRAVELCARE has boosted its shop network
to more than 370 branches by acquiring 13 stores from agency chain Holiday
City.
The
majority of the newly-acquired branches are in Wales, with the rest in
Scotland, the East Midlands, Lancashire and Yorkshire, and have combined sales
of more than £15 million annually.
Travelcare
is retaining 12 of the 13 branches and all 69 staff are being kept on. The
Holiday City shop in Lincoln, where Travelcare already operates six branches,
will shut. Its five staff will be given alternative job opportunities within
the network.
The sale was made for an undisclosed sum.
