Ryan leaves First Choice

FIRST
Choice group managing director Mike Ryan has been made redundant following a
dramatic shake up across the operator’s UK and Ireland management team.

Ryan
will leave in the new year after two years in the position. In a statement, the
operator said Ryan had made “valuable progress” in a number of areas
including the creation of a single UK brand identity.

The
company has also restructured its First Choice Holidays and Independent Travel
divisions in line with more integrated tour operation, airline and distribution
operations.

Current
overseas purchasing director Mike Price is to take on the management of
overseas operations. Overseas operations director Steve Barker is to report to
Price.

First
Choice general manager Tim WIlliamson has been promoted to product director of
First Choice Holidays and will look after the mainstream summer and winter sun
product team.

Suncars
managing director Kyle Haughton is to have his responsibilities expanded to
look after charter and scheduled flights.
