Village is pushing a ‘save up to 50%’ message for next year’s bookings in order
to catch the bargain hunters in January and February.
Managing
director Nick Lighton said it had to have a discount message if it had any
chance of attracting first-time cruisers. “We are aware there are people who go
bargain hunting and we have got to be in on that,” he said.
Coinciding
with its third-edition brochures, the ‘save up to 50%’ offer applies to
bookings made by February 28 on cabins at all grades across the Ocean Village
Mediterranean programme, with selected departures between April and October. To
promote the offer, agents are being given A5 leaflets to rack in their shops.
They also have the chance of winning an Ocean Village mountain bike.
