EBOOKERS has swooped for Travelbag to expand its business
and on-line presence.
The acquisition, for an undisclosed sum, brings Travelbag,
Bridge the World and Travelbag Adventures into Ebookers to give 200 million
worth of annual extra sales. The sale also hands the on-line operator shops in
key London locations and gives it a strong profile in the Australasian market.
The individual brands will be kept, but offices merged and technology
functions outsourced to India.
