Gatwick evacuated due to security scare

FLIGHTS from Gatwick’s North Terminal were suspended
today after it was evacuated due to a security scare.

British Airways, Delta and charter airlines were the
most affected carriers and incoming aircraft were forced to use the south terminal.

The terminal was cleared within 15 minutes shortly
after 2pm, although further details are scant.

Sussex Police will give no further information at
present and the airport can’t confirm whether it is due to the high state of
alert around the country.
