PASSENGER fears over deep vein thrombosis have led to the Government
setting up a specialised unit to study the condition.
The Civil Aviation Authority will have three staff
investigating DVT, and other aviation-related illnesses, at a Gatwick base.
Aviation minister John Spellar has provided £200,000 for the
unit to investigate any health problems associated with flying and to
commission research into concerns.
