THREE sales director positions have been axed at
Thomas Cook as new director of retail Pete Collins seeks to bring the company’s
sales structure closer to the customer.
Mark Byard, Adrian Sneyd and Kingsley Taylor have all
been made redundant but are free to apply for newly created head of sales
positions.
The new roles will cover three geographical areas –
north England and Scotland; central England, Wales, Ireland and the Isle of
Wight; and the south.
The roles are designed to be more ‘hands-on’ and those
filling them will work more closely with regional sales managers, said Collins.
It is hoped the positions
will be filled internally as soon as possible.
