NEARLY twice as many London consumers would consider buying holidays over the Internet than in New York, a survey of shopping habits shows.
Some 200 shoppers on both sides of the Atlantic were questioned for the survey, commissioned by marketing consultancy DunnHumby.
Its report, The Millennium Shopper, shows just 41% of New York shoppers would think about buying holidays over the Web, against 90% in the UK’s capital. However, 41% of shoppers in the US said they would buy their Christmas presents over the Internet this year, against 19% in London.
