We had a quote from Virgin Holidays for just under £5,000, and our client was about to accept when Virgin came up with the same price when she contacted them directly with a query. Virgin then offered her 10% off if she booked directly with them. Naturally she did, so we lost our earnings, and for what?You would have paid us 10%. Am Imissing something here?
One thing I am not missing is the fact that all Virgin Holidays brochures have gone in the bin, and despite being a good agent for Virgin as a whole, that stops right now – including the other two bookings worth £10,000.
What is sad about the whole thing is that Virgin has really taken a tumble in my estimation, and Ican now only look at it as just another money-grabbing company.
