More cuts to commission on fuel supplements

Thomas Cook and First Choice are to end travel agent
commission on fuel supplements.

The news follows Thomson’s decision to end blanket
commissions which saw accommodation-only and flight seat-only
commissions scrapped, as well as fuel supplements, from the start
of the year.

Fuel supplements vary from about £10 to £18 and
commission to agents is usually around 10%. Thomas Cook said all
payments will be stopped on its brands and air fares from the start
of next month.

First Choice said the operator is stopping payments from
February 25
