Kuoni supplement 2006

We’re delighted to welcome you to our special Centenary supplement, to celebrate 100 years of Kuoni Travel. What makes it even more special is to have received your votes for us as Britain’s Best Longhaul Tour Operator – an award that we have won for an amazing 23 years.

The continued recognition of our position as the UK’s leading longhaul operator is something we never take for granted, but we hope reflects the success of our core values of innovation in product and services, ground-breaking technology and friendly, expert advice. Rest assured that everyone at Kuoni is fully committed to deliver these to you for the next 100 years (although we can’t promise the same faces!).

The speed at which the travel industry has changed, particularly in recent years, since Alfred Kuoni started Kuoni in May 1906, has been extraordinary. Throughout these years, we’re proud to have been at the forefront of developments whether it was the chartering of Concorde to the Caribbean in 1984, the launch of Kudos in 1988, or the first online booking system for longhaul holidays in 1999.

kuoni supplement coverThis is why we were also particularly thrilled to have won the Best Website Award this year for – proving we’re still leading the way in technology, helping you to help your customers. With our revolutionary new USA and Canada, Australasia and Round the World dynamic packaging facility (which I’m sure you’ll be bowled over by) this is set to continue. Its levels of flexibility have never been seen before – so log on and see just how easy (and fun) it is to design a completely tailormade, dream holiday online for your clients, complete with a great map that’s bound to impress them.

We work hard to achieve such high levels of knowledge and expertise – meaning we can help you exceed your clients’ expectations, finding the perfect holiday for them down to the smallest detail. For the 40 years that we have been established in the UK, we have enjoyed excellent relationships with our agents, through our Longhaul College, familiarisation trips and extensive training and support programmes. As times move forward, and distribution channels change, this relationship remains as important to us as ever.

So thanks a million, once again, for all your support over the years. I hope you enjoy the supplement and we look forward to another 100 years of excellence in travel together – helping you to create and sell holidays of a lifetime. Whatever our exciting future may bring, as technology develops, and new areas open up to international travel, you can be sure Kuoni will be with you, leading the way.

On behalf of us all at Kuoni, our warmest regards,

Sue Biggs, managing director
