Priceright features new islands in capacity hike

GREECE specialist Priceright Holidays has increased capacity in its second-edition summer 2000 brochure by almost 50% to 125,000.

Managing director Andreas Drakou said the growth has been achieved by taking the number of Greek islands on offer from 11 to 16 and adding accommodation in existing resorts.

Lefkas, Lesvos, Parga, Santorini and Skopelos are all featured for the first time alongside long-popular islands including Corfu, Crete, Kos and Rhodes.

The operator has also added more regional flights to meet demand for local departures.

“People want to fly from regional airports and will pay to do so,” said Drakou.

Clients can now depart from Glasgow to Corfu and from Newcastle to Corfu, Santorini or Zante. There are also new flights from East Midlands to Crete and Rhodes, and from Stansted to Zante, Birmingham to Corfu and Crete, Bristol to Corfu and Rhodes, and Belfast to Crete and Rhodes. The operator flies with Sabre Airways, Caledonian, Monarch and Air 2000.

Lead-in price on the programme, valid to the end of October, is £174 for seven nights’ self-catering in Corfu based on seven sharing a three-bedroom apartment in May.

Deals include two weeks for the price of one for departures in May and June, and September 18 to October 11.
