TOURISM businesses in the southeast will soon be battling it out to be voted the best in region.
Tourism South East has launched its annual Tourism ExSEllence Awards, and is welcoming nominations.
The awards are open to any tourism business in the region, which covers Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, East Sussex, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Kent, Oxfordshire, Surrey and West Sussex.
There are 14 categories to enter, ranging from bed and breakfast, self-catering properties, hotels and visitor attractions to tourist information centres, local produce, business tourism and best tourism website.
This year there is a new award for green tourism. Tourism South East has joined up with the Green Tourism Business Scheme to reward green initiatives and good environmental practice in tourism.
The closing date for entries is June 19 and winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on October 5.
