JEA and VLM in island move

JERSEY European Airways and VLM Airlines have been cleared to operate services to the Channel Islands next summer.


The Jersey Transport Authority has agreed to JEA’s request to launch a summer-only flight from Edinburgh to Jersey. The service will operate on weekends only.


VLM is to start flights from Humberside to Jersey. Frequency is expected to be five times weekly when launched on May 1.


The Civil Aviation Authority has granted Go rights to serve Zurich and Geneva from Stansted following an objection from EasyJet (Travel Weekly November 29).
