Beachcomber set to build five properties in Seychelles

Beachcomber is building five hotels in the Seychelles over the next five years.

The Mauritian-owned hotel management company was invited to build the hotels by the Seychelles government.

The project will require an annual investment of £12.5m made up of 50% equity capital and 50% loan capital.

Construction on the first property, on the island of Sainte Anne, will begin in October. The 60-suite hotel is due to be completed in November next year. The second site is on Praslin Island on Cote D’Or Beach where two properties will be built.

Le Mauricia will close in April for a four-month rebuilding programme and there are plans to build a small luxury property on the Le Morne peninsula near to Le Paradis.

The company recently re-opened the 327-room Shandrani on the southeast coast after completing a £12.5m expansion and renovation programme.
