SUNSPOT Tours has launched a long-haul programme to Sri Lanka, Mauritius and Australia.
It is the first time the operator has featured Mauritius and Sri Lanka, while it returns to Australia after ditching the product last year.
Sales and marketing director Mandy Round said the company had been too hasty in dropping Australia after only 12 months because it hadn’t met ambitious sales targets.
“The programme wasn’t given long enough to bed in,” she said. “It takes agents time to adapt to operators selling new products.”
Round said she wanted the Australian programme to deliver double the business it did in 2004, but refused to reveal detailed passenger numbers.
The operator claims it’s the cheapest ABTA-bonded tour operator and is prepared to allow customers a full refund along with £10 per person if they can find the same holiday cheaper elsewhere.
Stopovers in Japan, Singapore, Bangkok, Hong Kong and Dubai are available.
