HARVEY World Travel has further expanded its high street network as it prepares to launch a major media campaign.
Norfolk-based Foster Travel managing director Julian Foster has sold out to Australian-owned HWT after deciding to retire.
HWT managing director John Donnelly said the agency’s location fits well with recent acquisitions Lets Go Travel in the southwest and Galaxy Travel in East Anglia.
He said: “All our shops will be rebranded by the end of this week ready for our big marketing campaign that will start at the beginning of September. There will be a major push on television and radio, and in the newspapers.”
Donnelly was unable to comment on rumours linking HWT with a takeover of operator Travel 2/Travel 4, but he said the company, now dual-branded with Virgin Holidays, has a number of developments in the pipeline.
“We are opening up on the main shopping mall in Norwich and the link with Virgin Megastores also starts at the end of September. We are going into quite a few – 10 to kick off with.”
