THE Association of Women Travel Executives is taking part in the National Everywoman Conference for the first time.
It will host a breakout session, The Future Success of your Business, at the 2006 event. The conference focuses on the skills women need to succeed in business.
AWTE’s session will include a panel of industry speakers, including Bales Worldwide managing director Mandy Nickerson, Travelzest group distribution director Nishma Robb and New Frontiers managing director and AWTE chairwoman Julia Feuell.
AWTE vice-chairwoman Tricia Handley said: “We want to discuss the human effects of terrorism on tourism – the impact on the workforce.”
The session will feature a ‘wall of opportunity’, a panel of pockets containing business cards of key AWTE members with whom delegates can arrange meetings. There is a special member rate of £75 for the conference, held at The Russell Hotel on November 15.
Meanwhile, AWTE members heard about the latest inbound tourism campaigns at a Visit London reception. Pictured are Feuell, left, and Visit London marketing director Martine Ainsworth-Wells.
