YOUTRAVEL.COM has launched a recruitment drive after confirming Paul Riches as sales and marketing director.
Riches, currently Libra Holidays sales and marketing director, said contractual obligations meant he could not confirm his move to the start-up worldwide resort accommodation provider last week (Riches to join Kent’s youtravel.com, Travel Weekly September 29 2006).
He said his close ties with the trade would be vital in the new role. “There is a large amount of the trade we want to get support from,” he added.
The company is now recruiting in the UK for a sales manager for the north, finance manager and IT, marketing and search engine optimisation executives.
Youtravel.com founder John Kent said the site, due to launch before December, will be a cross-Europe brand, eventually available in 20 languages. It aims to pioneer dynamic packaging in Europe where the market is still in its infancy.
