WTM: ResortHoppa launches new training programme – 6 Nov 2006

Resort transfer service Resort-Hoppa is launching networks and an online training programme for travel agents at World Travel Market.

The company will have more than 500 gateways by the end of the year following rapid expansion in Europe and the US.

ResortHoppa now covers most of the Western Mediterranean, with the Eastern Mediterranean soon to be launched. It also offers SkiHoppa and a CityHoppa services.

Chief executive Neville Wynn said: “With the rising use of dynamic packaging, consumers can book a cheap flight and hotel. But if they have to pay £70 each way from the airport, the holiday is no longer as good value for money. To have pre-booked transportation is a significant advantage, particularly in high season.”

The company’s latest product, UKHoppa, to take holidaymakers to and from their home to the airport, will be launched at WTM.

Agents go online, key in the customer’s postcode and get an instant price of a taxi to any air or seaport, on which they can earn a commission.

Wynn added: “All clients need to be transported to the airport, but few agents think of booking a taxi for them.”

Meanwhile, ResortHoppa’s training online manual, or Tom, has been developed with homeworkers in mind.

It has an animated character, called Tom, who tells agents how to make a booking, and gives selling tips.
