Cosmos customers can now do their bit for the environment after the operator signed up to support The Travel Foundation.
Clients will be given the option to contribute £1 to the Government-backed organisation, which works with the industry to make tourism sustainable.
The Travel Foundation director Sue Hurdle said the Government’s focus on climate change issues should help the body’s aims and encourage more people to support it. She added: “We are delighted Cosmos has taken this huge step in supporting The Travel Foundation and sustainable tourism.”
Cosmos joins the likes of First Choice, Thomas Cook and British Airways in supporting the body.
Hugh Morgan, Cosmos overseas and product director, said: “We all need to do more to help the environment.”
The operator already supports The Travel Foundation in its literature, but its further step will help support projects in Kenya, Sri Lanka, Tobago, Mexico, The Gambia, Cyprus and Turkey.
