Trade ski website launches – Dec 19 2006

Ski specialist WorldSki has launched a website to allow travel agents to book ski holiday add-ons and earn commission.

WorldSki, part of the Online Travel Group, is offering agents the chance to sell lift passes as well as ski hire and equipment in Europe and North America on the site skiextras.com.

Accommodation and travel quotes are available as well as insurance cover, which the site claims offers agents a saving of up to 50% on high street prices. Ski transfers will follow soon.

Commission for lift passes in the US, Canada, Austria and Andorra start at 10%. Equipment and accommodation also offer 10% commission, while insurance is 15%.

Head of sales and commercial development Lawrence Assock said: “Ski Extras will save clients money when they pre-book all their essentials but most of all it gives them peace of mind with the knowledge that all has been taken care of.”

To celebrate the launch of the product, the Online Travel Group is offering a pair of skis to the value of £500. All agents have to do is to make a booking and they will be entered into the draw that takes place on January 17 2007.
