Unicorn Holidays reports that clients are increasingly demanding high-class, luxury short breaks. Trips to top hotels or French chateaux are particularly popular for special events such as wedding anniversaries. The chateau Chevre D’Or at Eze near Nice leads in at around £800 for a three-night flydrive break.



n cadogan targets value-seeking clients



Cadogan is basing its short-breaks programme around the value-for-money ethic. The short-breaks brochure offers a number of destination options in Spain, Portugal, Morocco and elsewhere. According to managing director Gary David, if a client finds their holiday cheaper with another ABTA-bonded operator, Cadogan will match the price. Afour-night winter break in Gibraltar leads in at £319, including bed and breakfast at the four-star Rock Hotel, and return flights from Gatwick.
