Top selling travel agent shows spirit after stroke – 11 Jan 2007

A young travel agent with a ‘zest for life’ is making a remarkable recovery after suffering a stroke on Christmas Eve.

David Morris, assistant manager at First Choice franchise branch in Wrexham, lost his speech and movement on his right side after suffering a burst blood vessel in his brain.

In December Morris, 21, won top seller award across the 16 former Just Go shops – an award he has won two years running.

Just Go co-founder Mark Johnson was with Morris at a football match the day before he fell ill.

Johnson said: “Doctors have said people in this condition don’t make make it to hospital. His movement and speech is starting to come back. I was sitting there this week testing him on his airport codes.

“The doctors are amazed with him. David has a zest for life and is a real character. The amount of cards he’s received from customers shows how popular he is.”

Morris is now recovering in Walton Hospital, Liverpool
