EasyJet to launch Edinburgh to Dortmund service – 27 Feb 2007

EasyJet will begin a four-times-a-week service between Edinburgh and the German city of Dortmund on May 30.

The route will be EasyJet’s fifth new service from Edinburgh in four months and its third new service betwen Scotland and Germany in a year.

The carrier began a Glasgow-Berlin service last year and is due to launch an Edinburgh-Munich route on April 4. The services have attracted cash support from the Scottish Executive as part of a £1 million investment by tourism body VisitScotland to attract German tourists.

EasyJet will also begin flying daily to Thessaloniki from Dortmond on May 31, its first service to the city.

The carrier launched a daily Edinburgh-Madrid service last Sunday.
