STA Travel Group has promoted its current chief operating officer Peter Liney to the post of CEO.
Liney, who has been COO at the company since 2004, will take up his new post from July 16, 2007, replacing outgoing CEO Dick Porter who will become a non-executive director for the group.
STA Travel Group chairman Andreas Keller said: “We are delighted to announce that Peter has been appointed. Looking forward to a smooth transition we wish Peter success in the years to come.
“At the same time we thank Dick for his enormous contribution over the past 28 years and for staying on as a non-executive director.“
