Key Travel appoints green champion – 30 May 2007

Key Travel has appointed an environmental officer at its Manchester Office.

Ruth Milner, 29, will implement Key Travel’s environmental initiatives and corporate social responsibility (CSR) policy and help the company and its customers reduce the global impact of travel.

Key Travel’s managing director Ajay Sodha said: “We are deeply committed to preserving the environment. I would urge other businesses to assess their policies in relation to what they are, or are not, doing to help, as it is all our responsibilities to act before it is too late.”

One of Milner’s first tasks at the company, which offers a business travel service designed for non-for-profit organizations, will be introducing Gold Standard-accredited carbon offsetting projects.
