Freedom Group launches new low-cost flight booking system – 4 June 2007

The Freedom Travel Agents Consortium has introduced a new booking engine giving its members access to flights from 11 no-frills carriers including easyJet and Ryanair.

The independent agents consortium’s new WebSearch system is designed to replace its Dolphin FlightScanner system, which Freedom agencies have used since July 2006.

Agents access the system by clicking on a shortcut on their computer desktop and inputting a username and password. A training video is available on the Freedom intranet.

FTAC general manager Trevor Davis said: “WebSearch offers our agents even more comprehensive technology so they, in turn, offer their customers the widest possible range of travel options and find the most appropriate for them.”

Other airlines that can be booked via the system include Aer Lingus, AVRO, First Choice, BMIbaby and Thomsonfly.
