Elite Travel Group has appointed Nigel Ham as its new general manager.
He replaces Paul Cowley, who stepped down from the travel agency consortium last week.
Ham has been national sales manager at tour operator Dertour since September 2004 and prior to that was sales manager at Travelscene. He also worked at Worldchoice as senior commercial manager.
He will start at Elite Travel Group, formerly Midconsort Elite, on August 6.
Elite Travel Group chairman Neil Basnett said: “We were fortunate in having a choice of good applicants with a range of career backgrounds in which they had faced a variety of challenges.
“Most crucial and relevant for Elite was [Ham’s] success as senior commercial manager for Worldchoice in Peterborough, where he headed the commercial department for four years.”
