FORMER Institute of Travel and Tourism chief executive Linda Gibson is to appeal against an employment tribunal ruling in which she was found guilty of racial discrimination in the workplace.
It is believed that Gibson is unhappy about criticism made by the Bedford employment tribunal about the ‘dictatorial’ way she ran the ITT and her attitude during the hearing, in which former employee Gina Superville accused her of racism.
Meanwhile, the ITT is looking for a full-time executive director as part of a restructure following the departure of Gibson, who stepped down last week (Travel Weekly November 15).
Former ABTApresident John Dunscombe has taken up the post temporary until a permanent replacement is found.
