An online travel agency founded four years ago by two staff has been named in the UK’s 50 top e-retailers for the first time.
TravelRepublic.co.uk, which now employs 120 staff, is ranked 40th in the Interactive Media in Retail Group’s Hitwise Hot Shops list, which is produced quarterly and tracks popularity based on site visitor numbers.
In terms of travel agency competitors, TravelRepublic is beaten only by lastminute.com and expedia.co.uk.
Seventeen travel companies feature in the list and four make it into the top 10 – Thomson Holidays, easyJet, expedia.co.uk and lastminute.com.
