A fire at the Manor Hotel in Blackpool has killed one man and left several others injured.

Twelve fire engines were called to the hotel, close to the Blackpool Promenade, in the early hours of this morning.

The building, as well as surrounding hotels and bed and breakfast properties, were evacuated and four people were taken to hospital for minor injuries, reported the Press Association.

The man who died was treated for a cardiac arrest on the way to the hospital, but was unable to be saved.
