The £700,000 takeover is part of Travelzest’s plans to build a portfolio of specialist tour operators. It plans to increaseJMB Travel’s sales by broadening its customer base using the Internet.
JMB Travel provides short breaksand escorted tours to more than 40 cities, including Verona, Budapest, Madrid and Vienna.
Travelzest chief executive Chris Mottershead said: “These niche operators offer people a reason to travel, such as an opera, festival, art exhibition, sporting event or access to an area off the beaten track, thereby making price less relevant in their decision.”
